1964 Grand old lady seeks new lover

Built about 1885 by the Pitkin family in the Arroyo Grande Valley the 14 room house was up for sale. Under the headline "Grand old lady seeks new lover" the story called this the Conrow house, after the second owners.

The asking price for the house and lot was $95,000, with the adjoining 6.5 acres it was $120,000.
